Tudor launches Pelagos 39
Simple and compact.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, but in a very welcome move, Tudor has introduced the Pelagos 39, a scaled-down and slightly modified version of its "professional" diver's replica watches for sale. With a rated height of 200 m and a height of just 11.8 mm, the Pelagos 39 is essentially a stripped-down version of its big brother.
initial thought No doubt, in response to feedback, Tudor has been steadily reducing the size of its main models. The brand has retained the key technical features of the watch while reducing the case diameter, reducing the bulkiness of its first-generation models.
The Black Bay Pro was a smaller GMT, and a few months later the Pelagos 39 appeared as a smaller "professional" diver. In addition to the smaller diameter, the new Pelagos is also thinner, so it's definitely easier to wear on a daily basis than its 42mm counterparts.
Wearability aside, the Pelagos 39 clearly caters to enthusiasts in other ways. It has a symmetrical dial with no date display, while more than six words include a line of red. It's hard not to love the Pelagos 39.
There are also subtle changes to the dial and bezel finishes of the Pelagos 39 that differentiate it from the larger models. The brushed finish on these components makes it even more shiny, avoiding the soft, functional look of earlier Pelagos replica watches luxury.
Like the Tudor, the Pelagos 39 costs just $4,400. Considering its build quality and sportiness, it ranks among the best in its class.
Interestingly, stock images of the Pelagos 39 include several showing the watch on a woman's wrist, suggesting but officially confirming it was developed as a unisex diver's watch, the brand rarely makes a statement
smaller is better Compared to the 42mm case that has so far been the standard for the entire Pelagos, the latest addition to the collection is a modest 39mm diameter. Although scaled down, the case retains the same form and finish as its predecessor. It's completely brushed for a matte finish, and the lugs feature a signature bevel on the top edge.
In addition to the downsized case, the new Diver differs considerably in dial execution, despite superficial similarities to its siblings in the Pelagos collection. The most obvious is the red "Pelagos," a nod to vintage dive watches from the 1970s, with similar red text.watch replica swiss
But arguably more important is the dial finish. In contrast to the flat matte finish of other Pelagos models, the latest version's metallic black radial brushed dial is matched with a similar brushed ceramic bezel insert. Both capture light softly, giving the Pelagos 39 a reflectivity absent in its larger sibling.
Another notable feature is the applied hour markers, which are actually blocks of ceramic polymer composite impregnated with Super-Luminova – essentially a high-tech plastic mixed with the luminous paint first used on the Black Bay Pro .
The Pelagos 39 is powered by the MT5400 movement, a variant of the movement found in other Tudor compact watches such as the Black Bay Fifty-Eight and Ranger. Like Tudor's other "manufactured" movements, the MT5400 was developed by Kenissi, the Tudor-controlled movement maker.
Despite its relatively small size, this movement has all the hallmarks of a larger Tudor movement, including a 70-hour power reserve and a non-magnetic silicon hairspring.
As standard in the Pelagos collection, the Pelagos 39 comes with a titanium bracelet and a rubber strap. The bracelet has a diver's extension to slip over a wetsuit, but more practical for most owners is the "T-Fit" clasp, which incorporates a quick-adjustment mechanism to adjust the length of the bracelet on the fly . fake men watch
